Portfolio Benefits Lead
Context
This is a Senior Business Change Management role for a large portfolio. Main responsibilities of the Portfolio Benefits Lead include:
- Values and Benefits Strategy: Develop, implement, and embed maturity across the portfolio.
- Benefits Realisation Plans: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Benefits Realisation Plans to align with HSE priorities and strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clinical leaders, business leaders, project managers, and finance teams to identify benefits, map workflows, and manage necessary change.
- Training and Development: Development of Playbooks, training materials, and relevant artefacts to ensure knowledge transfer, upskilling, and development opportunities for stakeholders.
- Data Analysis & Tracking: Analyse performance data to produce regular benefit reports, assess progress against agreed baselines, and report to exec team and to programme boards.
- Risk & Issue Management: Act as an escalation point for change management issues within the Benefits workstream. This will include working with the portfolio team to mitigate risks and ensure projected financial savings (e.g., cash-releasing benefits) and clinical outcomes are on track and when appropriate, achieved.
- Line Management: Lead, mentor, and coach a Benefits team, Business Change Partners, and wider business change teams within the project or portfolio.

Experience
- Extensive, proven experience at a Senior level in programme management or benefits realisation and business change within complex healthcare digital settings.
Qualifications
- Relevant industry standard qualifications in Project / Programme Management / Portfolio Management and Benefit Management.
Skills
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, data interpretation skills.
- Must be adept at guiding diverse teams through transformational change programmes and challenging situations.
- Ability to effectively manage large projects against challenging timelines.
Frameworks
- Experience in working in Healthcare Settings and Public Service.
