Portfolio Director
Portfolio Director – Glasgow, Scotland
About the Role
Linxon is seeking a highly experienced Portfolio Director to lead our large-scale electrical infrastructure programmes, with a particular focus on high-voltage substations. Based in Glasgow, this senior leadership position is responsible for ensuring the effective management and strategic delivery of multiple complex projects while fostering robust stakeholder relationships—both internally and externally.
As Portfolio Director, your role will include:
- Providing strategic direction for Linxon’s major programmes in Scotland, overseeing planning, coordination, and execution.
- Championing cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
- Acting as the principal client and stakeholder representative to ensure expectations are met and relationships are strengthened.
- Partnering with internal operations teams to optimise processes, address challenges, and maintain seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all Linxon programmes in Scotland, ensuring onschedule, in-scope, and on-budget delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with:
- Internal teams (cross-functional)
- Executive management
- External stakeholders (clients, partners, regulatory bodies)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and programme outcomes.
- Represent Linxon at senior stakeholder meetings, industry forums, and client engagements.
- Collaborate closely with internal operations teams to:
- Identify and resolve project execution challenges.
- Ensure smooth project delivery aligned with organisational goals.
Experience Required
- Significant experience in senior portfolio or programme management within electrical infrastructure, with proven expertise in high-voltage substations.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain effective stakeholder relationships across internal and external levels.
- Strong track record of successful delivery of complex programmes, ideally in a Director-level capacity.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related discipline.
- Master’s degree or equivalent senior qualification preferred.
