John Davy, Founder

Shape the Future of an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

John Davy has spent more than three decades building, scaling, acquiring, and advising businesses across multiple sectors. Today, his focus is on creating an interconnected ecosystem of companies where ideas, talent, capability, and commercial success are shared rather than operating in isolation.

As this ecosystem continues to evolve, we are seeking a commercially driven Portfolio Growth Officer to help strengthen performance, unlock growth opportunities, and create greater alignment across the portfolio.

This is a rare opportunity to work directly alongside an experienced entrepreneur, influencing multiple businesses while helping shape the long-term success of an ambitious and evolving ecosystem.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Growth Officer to provide independent commercial insight, identify growth opportunities, and strengthen capability across a diverse portfolio of businesses.

You will develop a deep understanding of each company, challenge assumptions, assess commercial performance, and ensure leadership teams have the people, systems, and strategies required to deliver sustainable growth.

This is a highly strategic role that combines commercial analysis, talent assessment, operational insight, and trusted advisory support.

Key Responsibilities

📊 Portfolio Intelligence

  • Build a deep understanding of each business, including its commercial model, market positioning, customer journey, and growth drivers
  • Develop meaningful visibility across the portfolio to identify opportunities, trends, and emerging challenges
  • Evaluate performance indicators to support informed decision-making

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
