Octavius Finance, a specialist recruiter within quantitative financial markets, is working with a London-based investment manager seeking to hire a Portfolio Implementation Analyst / Associate.
This role sits close to the investment team and offers broad exposure across portfolio implementation, investment operations, investor support and business-facing project work. Working closely with Portfolio Managers, trading, operations and senior stakeholders, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring investment decisions are implemented accurately and efficiently across pooled funds and managed accounts.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-5 years’ experience in a front or middle office role who is looking to build a career within an investment-led environment while gaining direct exposure to portfolio management, fund structures and the wider investment process.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting portfolio implementation across pooled funds and managed accounts.
- Assisting with portfolio rebalancing, strategy alignment and account replication.
- Managing account flows, including subscriptions, redemptions, scaling and rebalancing activity.
- Preparing and raising orders for the investment team with accurate and timely execution instructions.
- Supporting the production of portfolio data, performance analysis and investor materials.
- Assisting with pitch materials, client presentations and business development documentation.
- Coordinating investment team inputs into RFPs, DDQs and operational due diligence processes.
- Supporting investment-related projects across the wider business.
- Working closely with Portfolio Managers, trading, operations, investor relations and senior stakeholders.

Requirements
- 2-5 years’ experience within a front office, middle office, portfolio implementation, investment operations, investment support or portfolio operations role.
- Experience within a hedge fund, asset manager or broader investment management environment.
- Working understanding of portfolio implementation, the trade lifecycle and fund structures.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with portfolio and performance data.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly under time pressure.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to own processes end to end.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced investment environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working with investment teams, trading, operations and senior business stakeholders.

- Level: Analyst / Associate.
- Location: London.
- Hybrid working pattern, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
