Portfolio Manager
Job Title: Portfolio Manager Industry: Asset Management Employment Type: Permanent Location: London Salary Guide: c. £85,000 + Bonus REF: KK54044
Our client is a leading pan-European mid-market private debt investor with over £5 billion of assets under management and offices across the UK and Europe. The business is currently undergoing a period of development and growth, looking to hire across multiple teams, implement new systems and automate processes, making it a very exciting time to join.
Responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Fund Finance, the Portfolio Manager will own the monitoring of portfolio companies, engage with the deals team and take responsibility for the monthly portfolio cycle as well as support on investor reporting and valuations.
The role will involve some process improvement as well, with the company increasing headcount so rapidly, they have outgrown some of the processes, leaving them in need of someone to identify and drive process enhancements across portfolio monitoring, data collection, reporting and review.

The company has a strong portfolio of about 80 companies and is looking for someone with previous relevant experience to step in and focus on managing the internal and later external relationships on behalf of the Portfolio function.
Skills The successful candidate for this Portfolio Manager role will be a qualified accountant with strong academic profile and experience in a portfolio reporting or valuations role. Ideally, the prior experience should be within an asset manager or an alternative fund, but they are open to looking at other backgrounds too. Strong systems, review and management skills are essential, and experience supporting finance system improvements would be advantageous.
This is a well-rounded Portfolio Manager appointment in a high quality organisation with an interesting portfolio of investments.
