We're hiring a Portfolio Manager in London for investment firms in our partner network.

Tasks

What you'll be responsible for:

As a Portfolio Manager, you'll be accountable for investment strategy, portfolio construction, and performance outcomes. Your decisions will directly impact fund returns and client wealth. Here's what that involves:

  • Develop and execute investment strategies aligned with fund mandates, risk parameters, and performance objectives
  • Construct and manage portfolios across asset classes, balancing return targets with risk tolerance and liquidity requirements
  • Conduct deep fundamental research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and assess risk-reward profiles
  • Make buy, hold, and sell decisions based on market conditions, valuation metrics, and conviction in investment theses
  • Monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks and attribution analysis to understand drivers of returns
  • Manage risk exposure through position sizing, hedging strategies, and portfolio rebalancing
  • Communicate investment rationale and portfolio positioning to senior leadership, investment committees, and clients
  • Stay current on macroeconomic trends, sector dynamics, and market developments that impact portfolio holdings

Requirements

You'll stand out if you bring:

  • A background in consulting from MBB, Big 4, or boutique firms with exposure to financial services, investment research, or asset management
  • 5-8+ years of experience in portfolio management, investment analysis, asset management, or buy-side research
  • Strong track record of investment performance with demonstrable alpha generation or outperformance against benchmarks
  • Deep analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and quantitative analysis
  • Proficiency with portfolio management systems, risk analytics platforms, and market data tools (Bloomberg, FactSet, etc.)
  • Excellent judgment under pressure and the ability to make high-stakes decisions with incomplete information
