About the Company:
W1M was founded with the merger of London & Capital and Waverton, two well established Wealth Managers who both have 40 years of history, in 2024. Since the merger we have gone from strength to strength growing from roughly 250 people to over 400 and increasing our AUM to around £27billion.
We focus on working with High and Ultra-High-Net-Worth individuals and families, Charities and Institutions offering a one stop shop for all wealth planning, investment and tax services including multi-jurisdictional situations.
Beyond our direct client relationships, we also maintain longstanding partnerships with Independent Financial Advisers providing access to our market-leading investment solutions. We are continuing to expand with ambitious plans to increase our AUM to over £50 billion by 2030 based on the foundation of the quality of advice and services we provide to our clients, alongside peer-leading investment performance.
Internally we are a highly collaborative organisation free from the politics and bureaucracy of larger firms that gives everyone the opportunity to make a real difference and enhance the way we work. We have a sociable culture with several team events throughout the year and a welcoming and supportive environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
