About Millbank FX
Millbank FX is a London-based foreign exchange and global payments specialist, trusted by mid-market and enterprise businesses to manage currency risk and international payments with speed, precision, and integrity.
Having processed over £6 billion in transaction volume, we partner with businesses across multiple sectors to deliver tailored FX solutions, international payment capabilities, and strategic risk management support.
Our business is built on disciplined execution, operational excellence, and long-term commercial relationships. We operate in a high-performance environment where ownership, accountability, and commercial ambition are highly valued.
As we continue to scale, we are expanding our front-office team with ambitious individuals who want to build meaningful careers within the FX and payments industry.
Role Overview
We are seeking commercially driven and ambitious Portfolio Managers to strengthen our front office and accelerate high-quality revenue growth across key sectors of the business.
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be responsible for originating new mid-market corporate relationships, managing and growing your own FX portfolio, and delivering tailored foreign exchange solutions to corporate clients.
This role is designed for someone early in their FX career who wants genuine portfolio ownership, direct accountability for performance, and long-term progression within a fast-paced commercial environment.
At Millbank FX, Portfolio Managers are trusted to operate as revenue owners - building long-term client relationships rather than simply executing transactions.
Your Mission
Business Development & Portfolio Growth
- Originate new mid-market corporate clients with annual FX requirements ranging from £3m–£100m
- Build and develop your own portfolio of corporate FX relationships
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, and relationship development
- Develop trusted relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors, Treasury teams, and senior stakeholders
- Convert new business opportunities into long-term revenue-generating client relationships

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
