Finatal is partnering with a leading mid-market private equity fund investing in high-growth technology and consumer businesses across the UK and Europe.
With multiple billion pounds of AUM and a growing portfolio of businesses, the firm has built a strong reputation for its highly collaborative and operationally focused investment approach. The business is continuing to scale and is now looking to hire a Portfolio Monitoring Senior Associate to help build and enhance its portfolio reporting and analytics capabilities.
This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of portfolio analytics, commercial insight, and technology-enabled reporting. The successful candidate will act as a key bridge between portfolio company reporting and senior-level reporting used for investment committee discussions and investor reporting.
The opportunity offers broad exposure across a diverse portfolio alongside the chance to help shape a scalable, data-driven monitoring function within an ambitious and fast-growing investment platform.

Responsibilities:
- Own and enhance portfolio monitoring and reporting processes across multiple portfolio companies
- Build streamlined and scalable reporting frameworks connecting portfolio company trading data with investor and internal reporting requirements
- Develop dashboards, charts, and analytical outputs using portfolio monitoring platforms
- Produce insightful analysis around portfolio performance, trends, and key commercial metrics
- Support portfolio committee and investment committee reporting with high-quality data and actionable insights
- Work closely with finance teams across portfolio companies to ensure timely, accurate, and relevant reporting
- Challenge and improve data quality, consistency, and reconciliation processes
- Drive improvements in reporting systems, automation, and monitoring capabilities
- Support the build-out of additional analytical and reporting tools, including Excel macros and VBA functionality
- Partner closely with senior leadership and become a trusted internal advisor across the business

Requirements:
- ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified preferred
- Background in audit, assurance, corporate finance, or portfolio monitoring
- Experience within private equity, asset management, or wider investment environments advantageous
- Strong working knowledge of portfolio monitoring platforms such as iLevel, Dynamo, or FolioSure
- Advanced Excel capabilities including macros and VBA
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and curiosity around data and technology
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and present financial insights effectively
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working directly with senior leadership and portfolio company finance teams
- Ambitious, hands-on, and excited by the opportunity to help build a best-in-class reporting function
- Right to work in the UK
