Muve Healthcare is looking for an experienced Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Lead to drive the development and delivery of evidence-based, person-centred PBS across our services.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate PBS professional who is committed to improving quality of life, reducing restrictive practices, and empowering teams to deliver exceptional support.
You'll work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure the people we support receive the highest standard of care while promoting positive outcomes and best practice.
The Role
As our PBS Lead, you will be responsible for embedding Positive Behaviour Support throughout the organisation. You'll provide expert guidance, lead behavioural assessments, coach and mentor staff, and help shape a culture where proactive, person-centred support is at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support across Muve Healthcare services.
- Complete Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) and develop high-quality Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Coach, mentor, and support staff teams in delivering proactive behavioural support.
- Promote least restrictive practice and develop strategies to reduce restrictive interventions.
- Provide specialist support following behavioural incidents and facilitate reflective learning.
- Analyse behavioural data and incident trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Deliver PBS training, workshops, and competency assessments for staff.
- Work closely with families, multidisciplinary professionals, and commissioners to achieve positive outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of PBS interventions through measurable outcomes.
- Ensure services remain compliant with CQC standards, legislation, and recognised best practice.
We're looking for someone who has:

- Proven experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support within health or social care.
- Strong knowledge of PBS principles, Functional Behaviour Assessments, and behaviour support planning.
- Experience supporting individuals with behaviours of concern, learning disabilities, autism, and/or complex needs.
- A passion for reducing restrictive practices and improving quality of life.
- Excellent coaching, mentoring, and communication skills.
- The ability to influence, support, and challenge teams to achieve best practice.
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- A relevant qualification in Positive Behaviour Support, Psychology, Learning Disabilities, Health & Social Care, or a related field is desirable.
