As a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Lead, you will focus on supporting staff teams to create capable environments where our young people can thrive. Get Out What You Put In

As a PBS Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the development, organisation, and delivery of a high-quality Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach, empowering children to develop essential skills for a fulfilling life.

  • Practising co-production, working in partnership with children and their families to:

    • Identify individual support needs and challenges impacting quality of life.
    • Develop effective individualised plans.
  • Serving as a Practice Leader, ensuring:

    • Staff teams benefit from person-centred PBS training.
    • Role modelling of good practice and coaching.
    • Support for the implementation of individualised plans.

Who We Seek

At Witherslack Group, we value individuality and champion neurodiversity. To contribute as a Positive Behaviour Support Lead, you must embody the following:

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years supporting individuals with Special Education Needs (SEN).
  • Relevant qualification in SEN, Health & Social Care, or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
  • Expertise in understanding, implementing, and coaching strategies for:
    • Behaviour support plans.
    • Individualised risk assessments for young people.
    • Targeted interventions among vulnerable groups.

  • Experience in identifying and addressing training needs within teams.
  • Fluent collaboration with young people and families to co-create positive change.
