Positive Behaviour Support Team Leader
# Positive Behaviour Support Team Leader – Broadstairs, Kent Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
About the Role
Join Home Group, a recognised leader in safeguarding, where you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering nurturing, structured, and outstanding care for a gentleman in his 50s whose life is defined by complex mental health needs, atypical autism, mobility challenges, and communication limitations.
Location: Broadstairs, Kent Pay: £30,000 per annum (plus on-call allowance) Benefits:

The Customer: AR thrives on rutine, playful interactions, nostalgic music, and films whilst requiring 2:1 support to ensure safety and well-being. A proactive, empathetic, and humour-filled team—particularly one with a hidden passion for Tottenham Hotspur—would foster his love for playful connections.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll manage a small, experienced team while delivering exceptional care, ensuring:
- Leadership: Direct and develop your team, driving consistent standards in an inspection-ready CQC-regulated environment.
- Structured Safety: Create and sustain calm, routine-based support to handle behaviours of concern, personal care, and therapeutic interventions.
- Compliance & Collaboration: Align with Registered Managers, in-house clinical teams, and multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring high compliance and proactive safeguarding.
- Proactive Education: Lead in continuous improvement, champion best practice, and contribute to evidence-based support planning.
- Independence Management: Support AR’s Motability-approved vehicle to enhance outings and community integration, as required.
- Stakeholder Communication: Report on team well-being, service excellence, and escalate concerns effectively to management.
- Occasional Travel: Participate in local Kent-wide meetings (typically daytime) and one attendance for staff training (planned separately).

What You Have
We’re seeking a candidate with experience, passion, and a People-Centre mindset. Essential requirements include: ✅ Regulated sector expertise: CQC-aligned experience with a Level 4 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care (or willingness to 'work towards' it). ✅ Leadership in complex care: Proven track record as a Senior Support Worker, Shift Leader, or Team Leader (or equivalent). ✅ Managed teams in supported living: Vicarious experience in community-based care, particularly within mental health or autism support. ✅ Operational resilience: Calm problem-solving skills to navigate emergencies, safeguarding issues, and escalations. ✅ Empowerment: Capacity to motivate, mentor, and embed best practice for team development and sustained retention. ✅ Mobility choices: Ability to drive AR’s Motability vehicle as part of the care programme.
