Post Office Counter Clerk
Post Office Counter Clerk – 15 hours per week (Fixed Term until 31 August 2026)
Closing date: 3rd July 2026
Pay
We pay in line with UK age-related minimum and living wage rates:
- 18–20 years: £10.85/hour
- 21+ years: £12.71/hour
Role Requirements
To apply, you must:
- Be over 18 years old
- Undergo a safeguarding check
Training
3-day Post Office Counter Training, covering:
- Introduction to processes
- Practical skills and systems
- May be held at a different location – flexibility required

As a Post Office Counter Clerk, you’ll play a vital role, helping customers with:
- Customer service: Delivering outstanding support and guidance
- Service delivery:
- Organising travel money and documents
- Assisting with bills and banking needs
- Operational duties:
- Managing queues efficiently
- Ensuring timely and accurate service
- Maintaining high standards of governance and attention to detail
- Teamwork: Collaborating with colleagues for a supportive and productive workplace
