Postal Delivery Driver
Location: Sturminster Newton Delivery Office, DT10 1DJ
Job type: Fixed Term contract (9 months)
Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 37:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 07:00/15:30*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.
You’ll be required to work 1 in 4 Sundays at Blandform Fourum Delivery Office.

What To Expect
This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:
Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps) Driving a Royal Mail van daily Working in all weather conditions Delivering letters and high volumes of parcels Busy, time-pressured days, especially during peak periods
About You
We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:
A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address) Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags Reliable and self-motivated Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service Comfortable working outdoors and independently
