Description

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Clemson University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in Biophysics under the mentorship of Assistant Professor Dr. Sheng Liu.

This position focuses on the development of a high-resolution single-particle tracking system based on MINFLUX microscopy to study protein dynamics and interactions in live cells. The successful candidate will play a central role in advanced instrumentation development and interdisciplinary biophysics research.

Primary Research Responsibilities Include

Design, construction, and optimization of a MINFLUX microscope Development of instrument control software Data acquisition, processing, and quantitative analysis Preparation of manuscripts and grant proposals

Qualifications

Required:

PhD in Optics, Physics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field, awarded or expected by 2026
