Position Title: Postdoctoral Fellow

Reference Number: JR103186

Location: Wellcome Sanger Institute, Hinxton (Cambridge), UK

Job Overview: We are seeking an outstanding candidate with a strong background in gene editing, ideally with experience applying gene-editing techniques to organoid systems. The role involves contributing to develop screening platforms for detection and validation of potential therapeutic targets in organoids and co-cultures of the reproductive system. The project involves using the established CRISPR/Cas9 technology and small molecule screenings on these cells, employing single-cell genomics and functional analyses as key read-outs.

Qualifications Required

  • PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g. molecular biology, genetics, cell biology)
  • Proven experience with gene-editing techniques (CRISPR/Cas9 or related systems)
  • Prior work with organoid cultures is highly desirable
  • Strong publication record and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
