STEM PhD Expert

Location: Remote (U.S. / UK / Canada / Europe)
Engagement Type: Hourly Contract
Compensation: $70–$75/hour

About the Opportunity

This opportunity is for STEM PhD experts interested in contributing to advanced AI research and evaluation projects involving state-of-the-art large language models (LLMs).

The role involves applying deep subject matter expertise to develop challenging, domain-specific problems and create high-quality data that helps improve the reasoning, accuracy, and problem-solving capabilities of next-generation AI systems.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in a STEM discipline from a university in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, or Europe.
  • Expertise in a relevant field, including:
    • Mathematics
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Physics
    • Computer Science
    • Statistics
    • Economics
    • Or a closely related STEM discipline
  • Deep subject matter expertise with the ability to develop complex, research-level problems within your domain.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to technical accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Develop challenging, domain-specific problems based on your area of expertise.

  • Identify errors and opportunities to improve AI-generated outputs.
  • Apply advanced subject matter expertise to help improve the reasoning capabilities of large language models.
