Postdoctoral Scholar in Cardiovascular Physiology

Postdoctoral candidates must possess a Ph.D. at the time of hire, with a background in cardiovascular physiology, exercise physiology, or a closely related field. The scholar will work on a multi-site NIH-funded series of studies investigating mechanisms associated with accelerated cardiovascular disease risk in women with endometriosis.

Expectations of Postdoctoral Fellows include, but are not limited to:
- Recruitment and screening of prospective human subjects
- Performing laboratory-based experiments involving minimally invasive cardiovascular approaches
- Performing bench work including peripheral blood mononuclear cell isolation, multiplex and hormone assays
- Managing, analyzing, and interpreting data
- Preparing and publishing manuscripts
- Assisting graduate and undergraduate students in research training
- Presenting at conferences
The candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills and attention to detail, be capable of conceptualizing and designing experiments, and conducting studies independently as well as cooperatively with other lab members as a team.
