Fixed-term: 1 year.
Role Overview
The Postgraduate Recruitment, Admissions and Education Manager will be responsible for:
- Postgraduate student recruitment and admissions processes/systems within the Department, to provide an efficient, informative, and supportive experience for prospective students.
- Assessing student applications.
- Expanding the academic strand of our postgraduate training programme.
- Further developing the monitoring and support mechanisms for all of our students.
- Actively seeking new funding streams for PhD studentships through all available avenues.
This is a secondment position for one year only. This secondment has arisen due to the opportunity the Department is taking to potentially reconfigure the role so the role holder will need to be excited at the potential for evolution of the role as the year goes on.

Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of working in a Higher Education environment (essential).
- Experience of administrative procedures in a higher education establishment (highly desirable).
- Be an experienced user of standard software packages such as Word and Excel.
- Ability to gather and collate data/present reports to a range of audiences.
- Self-motivated and independent, able to work as a member of a team and have the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
