Delivery Driver Job Opportunity

Location: Morley Delivery Office, LS27 8TB

Role Summary

Looking for a delivery driver job where you can stay active, enjoy great benefits, and serve your community? Join Royal Mail as a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) and become the trusted face of their delivery service, handling letters and parcels in Leeds.

Role Type: Fixed Term Contract Hours: 30 hours per week (rotating shifts, including weekends) Pay: £13.68 per hour (paid monthly) + overtime available


What You’ll Do

In this physically demanding yet rewarding role, you will:

  • Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
  • Deliver post by van and on foot in your local areas
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • Work outdoors in all weathers, remaining active and engaged

  • Working in varying weather conditions

About You

Royal Mail will provide:

  • Full training
  • Uniform
  • An iconic red delivery van

You must meet the following requirements:

  • A full, valid UK driving license (❌ Max 6 penalty points) Registered to your current name and address.
  • Willingness to pass a Royal Mail driving assessment
  • Must be physically fit and comfortable:
    • Walking long distances
    • Climbing stairs/hills
    • Lifting/carrying mailbags (+10kg)
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and organised
  • Customer-focused and proud of excellent service delivery
  • Comfortable working outdoors and independently
