At St David's Poultry Team, we're not looking for someone to simply fill a vacancy. We're looking for someone who wants to build a rewarding career at the forefront of poultry health, welfare, and production.

As demand for our services continues to grow across the UK, we are seeking ambitious Veterinary Surgeons to join our specialist poultry team. Opportunities are currently available across our teams in Newark, Leominster, and Penrith.

Whether you are an experienced poultry veterinarian or a farm animal vet looking to specialise, you will join one of the most respected and progressive poultry practices in the country.

Why This Role Is Different

Our role is to help poultry businesses prevent disease, improve welfare, and optimise performance, supporting customers who operate at the highest standards of modern poultry production.

Our vets work closely with producers, nutritionists, and technical managers, helping customers solve complex flock health and production challenges across a wide range of poultry enterprises.

You'll work with some of the UK's leading egg, broiler, breeder, and gamebird producers, providing strategic advice, disease investigation, flock health planning, and technical support that has a direct impact on flock performance and business success.

Working alongside a highly experienced team of poultry specialists, you will have the opportunity to develop expertise across all aspects of poultry production medicine, contribute to innovation and trials, and play an important role in the continued growth of the practice.

As an independent practice, we can make decisions quickly, invest in new ideas, and provide opportunities for progression, responsibility, and leadership.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
