PERMANENT VACANCY AVAILABLE: POWDER COATER
Do you have previous powder coating / powder coater experience within the sheet metal industry, and are you looking for a permanent job to start ASAP?
We are proud to be working with a sheet metal fabrication business in Stevenage who are looking for an experienced Powder Coater to join their team.
The standard working hours are 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), with overtime opportunities available which are paid at T1/2, the annual salary will be up to £31,500 per annum (hourly rate up to £15.00 per hour) DOE.
The majority of this role will be powder coating, but you must be prepared to help with other duties on the shop floor as or when required.
The hiring manager is ideally looking for someone who has around 2 years experience (if not more) in a similar role.

- Prepare materials for coating, ensuring surfaces are cleaned and masked according to customer specifications.
- Operate a range of coating equipment, including spray guns and powder reclaiming systems, to deliver exceptional finishes.
- Perform visual inspections to assess paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality, maintaining high attention to detail.
- Bake components at appropriate temperatures, adhering to established procedures and time lines.
- Ensure all jobs are completed on time, meeting stringent quality standards and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Maintain and clean equipment to ensure optimal performance and a safe working environment.
What You Will Bring
- A strong background in powder coating and industrial painting, with at least three years of experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality finishes.
- Proficiency in reading and masking parts from technical drawings.
- The ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to quality and safety standards, ensuring every task is completed to the highest level.
