About The Job

Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

Jonathan Lee Workforce Solutions are the preferred supplier to Mazak.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Powder Paint Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying powder coatings to metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Job Description

  • Prepare and clean surfaces prior to coating.
  • Operate powder coating equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Apply powder paint to components following technical guidelines.
  • Hang parts on the power line track for coating and remove them after processing.
  • Pick and organise components for coating according to production schedules.
  • Carry out quality checks to ensure all products meet required standards.
  • Perform 100% kit verification before processing to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in powder coating or a similar role (preferred).
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Knowledge of different powder coating techniques and finishes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or job sheets.
  • Forklift licence or experience handling materials safely.
  • Basic maintenance skills for coating equipment.
