Senior Power BI Developer (SAP Reporting)
Location:
Hybrid – Midlands (with flexibility)
Contract Duration:
6–9 months (initial)
Rate:
£350 inside IR35
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer with strong experience working with SAP data to support a broader reporting transformation programme.
This role will focus on building high-quality, scalable reporting solutions using Power BI, working closely with business stakeholders and existing delivery teams. You will play a key part in designing reporting outputs, shaping data models, and ensuring the delivery of effective, business-facing insights.
This is a hands-on role that also carries responsibility for owning delivery from requirements through to deployment, while supporting and guiding additional developers contributing to the reporting workstream.
Essential:
- Strong hands-on experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards in enterprise environments
- Proven experience working with SAP ECC data for reporting purposes
- Ability to interpret and work with SAP data structures and reporting tables
- Experience designing and building semantic models and curated reporting layers
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including gathering and challenging business requirements
- Experience taking ownership of delivery from requirements through to deployment
- Ability to coordinate or support other developers contributing to front-end reporting

Desirable:
- Experience with data engineering principles, including working with structured data pipelines
- Exposure to tools such as Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, or similar data platforms
- Experience working in SAP transformation or reporting programmes
- Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud or other SAP reporting tools
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
