We have an exciting opportunity to join the Microsoft Applications Team as a Power Platform & Copilot Governance Engineer. This is a strategic role responsible for the governance, administration, compliance and operational management of Microsoft's Power Platform and Copilot services.
You'll take ownership of platform governance, administration and reporting, ensuring our growing Power Platform and AI estate remains secure, compliant, scalable and well governed. Working closely with developers, business stakeholders and Microsoft partners, you'll play a key role in supporting the organisation's adoption of low-code and AI technologies whilst maintaining appropriate controls and operational standards.
Some of the Key accountabilities in this role are:
- Administration of Power Platform, Copilot Studio and Microsoft Copilot environments.
- Ownership of governance standards, policies, DLP controls and environment strategy.
- Management of licensing, capacity monitoring, platform health and operational controls.
- Production of governance, compliance and adoption reporting.
- Oversight of platform risks, security reviews and governance audits.
- Support and guidance for citizen developers and business stakeholders.
- Driving continuous improvement of governance processes and operational maturity.
- Supporting the safe and controlled rollout of Microsoft Copilot and AI services.
- Maintaining platform inventories, ownership records and governance documentation.
- Management and resolution of support tickets, service requests and platform-related incidents, ensuring timely triage, prioritisation, communication and closure in line with agreed service levels.

You'll be based at our Severn Trent Centre head office in Coventry and we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with three days at least in the office.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience administering and supporting Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Power Platform environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio administration and governance.
- Understanding of the Power Platform Admin Centre, Microsoft 365 Admin Centre and associated governance controls.
- Experience implementing governance standards, environment strategies, DLP policies and operational controls.
- Knowledge of Power Platform licensing, capacity management, environment lifecycle management and security best practices
- Understanding of AI governance principles, responsible AI adoption and controls required to support Copilot technologies.
- Experience producing governance, compliance, risk and adoption reporting for stakeholders.
- Ability to analyse platform usage, identify risks and drive continuous service improvement.
