Hays are now looking for a Senior Power Platform Developer for one of our local clients:

£500 p/d Inside IR35
Hybrid - 2 days in the office, 3 days WFH
Location: Telford
6-month+ contract

We are looking for an experienced Senior Power Platform Developer to design and deliver scalable Microsoft Power Platform solutions for a range of business challenges. This is a hands-on role combining solution development, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, and technical leadership within an agile delivery environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Gather and analyze business and functional requirements with stakeholders.
  • Advise on how business needs can be best delivered using Microsoft Power Platform capabilities.
  • Re-engineer and improve business processes using Power Platform best practices.
  • Design, build, and implement Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and wider Power Platform solutions.
  • Lead technical solution design and ensure alignment with established patterns and standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing guidance and quality assurance across Power Platform solutions.
  • Work within Agile delivery teams, contributing to sprint planning and delivery activities.
  • Create and maintain Epics, Features, and User Stories.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve development standards and delivery practices.
  • Support and mentor other team members on new Power Platform capabilities and emerging technologies.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong commercial experience designing and delivering Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft 365 and Power Platform capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and wider Power Platform technologies.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and present solutions to stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile environments using sprints, Epics, Features, and User Stories.
  • Experience working to defined development patterns, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Strong code review experience with a focus on quality, maintainability, and best practice.
  • Passion for knowledge sharing, mentoring, and supporting the development of other team members.
  • Commitment to staying current with Microsoft roadmaps, new functionality, and certifications.
