Power BI Adoption Lead

We are Hiring an experienced Power BI Adoption Lead to drive enterprise-wide adoption of Power BI by creating a self‑service data model and data marketplace in Azure. The role will lead the transition from Tableau to Power BI, ensuring functional parity, enhanced insights, and improved user experience while enabling business users to build sophisticated, scalable, and trusted dashboards.

This role blends BI strategy, data modelling, platform enablement, and change leadership, acting as the bridge between data engineering teams and business consumers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the Power BI adoption strategy across the enterprise
  • Establish standards, best practices, and operating models for Power BI development and consumption.
  • Drive cultural shift towards self‑service analytics while maintaining governance and control.
  • Design and lead the creation of a certified, reusable semantic layer / data marketplace in Azure.
  • Partner with data engineering and modelling teams to deliver business-ready datasets aligned to analytics use cases.
  • Perform deep analysis of existing reports, calculations, parameters, filters, and visual interactions.
  • Lead training, onboarding, and enablement initiatives for analysts and business users
  • Ensure Power BI solutions align with data governance, security, and access control standards.
  • Define and enforce workspace strategies, deployment pipelines, and environment separation

  • Strong experience leading enterprise Power BI implementations and adoption.
  • Proven experience migrating reports from Tableau to Power BI, including complex calculations and dashboards.
  • Experience building self‑service BI platforms or data marketplaces in Azure.
  • Strong understanding of Azure data platforms (Azure Fabric, Synapse, Lakehouse concepts).
  • Solid grasp of data modelling (star schema, dimensional models).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
