About The Role

Ready to lead complex energy deals that shape the UK’s renewable future? Join a team where your leadership, commercial insight and drive for results directly influence how businesses source low carbon power. At EDF, Success is Personal – and this is your chance to define what success looks like for you while delivering real impact.

The Opportunity

As Senior Manager of PPA and Renewable Certificates, you’ll lead a high-performing team responsible for originating, negotiating and delivering complex power purchase agreements (PPAs) and renewable certificate trades, at the largest PPA offtaker in GB. You’ll work with hundreds of different independent renewable generators each year, and with large wholesale market counterparties for the delivery of large-scale certificate transactions to meet EDF’s ‘Renewable Obligation’ and supply customer needs for REGOs. Your work will play a key role in supporting EDF’s journey towards An Electric Britain while driving commercial value at scale.

You’ll join us on a salary of circa £90,000 per annum (open to discussion dependent on experience). This role requires travel to our #London, #Exeter and #Gloucester offices to stay connected with your teams and stakeholders.

You’ll operate at the centre of the energy markets, working with renewable developers and generators across GB, and working within EDF across pricing, hedging, legal and regulatory teams to deliver high-value agreements. With responsibility for significant portfolio growth and innovation, you’ll influence strategy while leading change across systems, processes and propositions.

Who You Are

As a PPA and Renewable Certificates Senior Manager, you bring strong leadership, commercial expertise and proven success in complex negotiations. You’re confident working in fast-moving environments, balancing strategy with delivery, and building trusted relationships at senior levels. Are you experienced in…?

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
