PPA Teacher

Primary School PPA Teacher (KS1 & KS2)

Location: Chatham, Medway, Kent

Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (1 Year)

Start Date: September 2026

Are you a passionate and versatile Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding role from September? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PPA Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Chatham, Medway, on a full-time basis for a one-year fixed-term contract.

This exciting opportunity will involve teaching across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, providing high-quality cover for teachers' Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils' learning and maintaining high standards of teaching across the school.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across KS1 and KS2 classes.
  • Provide planned cover for teachers during PPA time.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching styles to meet the needs of different age groups and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders.
  • Uphold the school's values and commitment to pupil achievement and wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching within primary schools, ideally across both KS1 and KS2.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Is flexible, organised, and confident working across a range of year groups.
  • Has a passion for inspiring and motivating young learners.
  • Is committed to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.
