Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced SEO Content Strategist with strong writing skills to join a digital advertising agency.

We are open on level, hence the wide salary band. Junior level would need to be more office based, however Senior level offer more flexible hybrid working.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective content strategies and get involved with analytical and problem solving of SEO campaigns. This role requires a deep understanding of SEO principles, content management systems, and social media management to create engaging and optimised content.

Therefore UK experience within a senior SEO role (Agency highly desirable) is essential

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO content strategies that align with the client’s business goals.
  • Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for content creation and optimisation.
  • Create, edit, and optimise high-quality content across various platforms, ensuring adherence to SEO best practices.
  • Monitor and analyse website performance using tools such as Google Search Console and Google Analytics to inform strategy adjustments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, and development to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
  • Manage metadata, including title tags and meta descriptions, to improve search visibility.
  • Utilise Google Tag Manager for tracking and measuring content performance effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, algorithm changes, and emerging technologies related to SEO and digital marketing.
  • Assist in social media management by creating shareable content that drives engagement.

  • Proven experience in SEO strategy development and execution within a UK creative digital marketing agency environment
  • Proficiency in using Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and other analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to web content management.
  • Familiarity with various content management systems (CMS) for publishing and managing online content.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail in grammar, style, and tone.
  • Experience in social media management is advantageous but not essential.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
