About the Role

We are recruiting for a PPC Lead / Paid Ads Manager to join our Digital Marketing team on a hybrid working pattern, based at our head office in Barton-upon-Humber.

This role will improve the performance, efficiency, and quality of our paid search activity at scale. You will lead PPC across Google Ads, Performance Max, AI Max, and wider search, ensuring campaigns are commercially-focused, structured, and continuously optimised.

You’ll also help represent Wren as part of our top-tier Google-recognised partner status, shaping paid search for one of the UK’s most recognised retail brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead PPC, Performance Max, AI Max and paid search activity.
  • Optimise campaign structure, bidding, keywords, audiences, creative assets, and budget allocation.
  • Analyse performance to identify growth opportunities, inefficient spend, and actions.
  • Manage the media agency, ensuring recommendations are data-led, commercial, and delivered at pace.
  • Review performance across acquisition efficiency, lead quality, conversion, visibility, and revenue.
  • Ensure automated campaigns have inputs, objectives, accurate conversion data, and measurement.
  • Use auction insights, search terms, and competitor activity to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Improve visibility from query to click, lead, appointment, sale, and revenue.
  • Support budget planning with recommendations to scale, reduce, pause, or reallocate spend.

About You

Desired Skills and Knowledge

  • 4-6 years’ experience in PPC, paid search, or performance marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Ads, automated bidding, conversion tracking, and measurement.
  • Commercially analytical, with the ability to turn PPC performance into clear actions.
