PPC Manager (Google & Microsoft Ads) - Remote, £50,000 DOE
About Skayl
We help businesses achieve profitable, efficient and scalable growth through performance-driven digital marketing. We offer data-backed services to brands up to £25m+ yearly revenue, improving their online visibility, traffic and revenue - and we report straight on what is and isn't working.
The Role
You'll own the day-to-day strategy, optimisation and performance of a portfolio of Google and Microsoft Ads accounts - driving profitable, results-driven performance against every client's targets, and operating autonomously without daily oversight.
You'll manage each budget with commercial care, keep accounts actively optimised across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen and AI Max, and communicate clearly on performance and trajectory.
You report to the Head of Paid Media, who sets department direction, systems and priorities and clears your path — but the strategy and results of your accounts are yours to own.
What Success Looks Like
- 90%+ of your managed accounts hit their POAS, ROAS, CPA, MER and profitability targets each month
- 95%+ client retention across your accounts
- 90%+ of tasks delivered on time and within forecasted hours; 100% of monthly reports out within 3 working days of month-end
- Winning campaign structures, ad copy and assets identified and scaled every quarter, with accounts improving quarter over quarter through structured testing
- Clients consistently confident in your strategy and direction

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key Responsibilities

- Run structured account-level testing across campaign structure, bidding, keywords, audiences, assets, ad copy and product/category focus
- Flag budget over- or under-delivery early, so it's resolved before it costs the client
- Keep campaign, bid strategy and tracking QA accurate and clean
- Deliver accurate monthly reports within 3 working days of month end using TripleWhale, GA4 and platform data, and lead confident, commercially-framed client communication
- Build accurate forecasts and manage budgets to profitability targets
- Document all work in ClickUp, organised into sprints with due dates, and run your week from your dashboard

- Real command of budgeting, pacing and working to POAS, ROAS, CPA, MER and profitability targets
- Structured, methodical and detail-driven - nothing slips through campaign, tracking or asset QA
- Takes ownership and makes decisive calls - you surface variances, risks and opportunities early rather than waiting to be asked
- Self-directed and reliable - you deliver without daily check-ins
- Comfortable using Claude and other AI tools to work faster without dropping quality
