Lead and protect Cornerstone’s reputation and licence to operate through a bold, proactive Corporate Affairs and PR strategy. Shape the corporate narrative, drive media and crisis plans, and steer stakeholder communications across a demanding external landscape—from national media and government to community groups and industry partners.
You’ll be at the forefront of managing reputational and operational challenges, including sensitive local comms on network builds, misinformation, competitive noise, planning disputes, legal cases, and landlord dependencies. You’ll also champion our corporate voice on sustainability, safety, digital inclusion and social impact, while powering major investor and industry announcements.
What You’ll Do
Proactive External Communications & PR
- Drive and deliver the annual Corporate Affairs and Communications plan, including:
- Build strong relationships with key journalists, media outlets and industry voices.

Issues Management & Crisis Readiness
- Maintain an always‑on issues and crisis posture, including:
- Lead communications for high‑risk scenarios such as:
- Ensure responses land with speed, consistency, credibility and disciplined risk management.
Internal Communications & Employee Engagement
- Set IC strategy and cadence through your direct report, ensuring:
- Oversee internal events to ensure strategic alignment and impact.
Community Relations & Local Stakeholder Delivery
- Lead the community engagement strategy through your direct report, ensuring:
Executive Communications
- Support CEO and SLT communications, including:
- Shape the corporate narrative for quarterly/annual reporting and major milestones.
Performance Reporting & Impact
- Establish clear reporting frameworks for:
- Produce SLT‑ready reporting that translates communications activity into risk mitigation and strengthened corporate reputation.

Experience
