A leading independent strategic communications consultancy is seeking a Health & Life Sciences Director to join its growing London team.
This is an opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within a dynamic, entrepreneurial agency that partners with high-profile organisations across healthcare, biotech, pharmaceuticals and beyond. The Opportunity
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and expanding the Health & Life Sciences practice, advising senior stakeholders on complex reputational, regulatory and business-critical challenges. This position combines strategic client counsel, team leadership and business development, making it ideal for someone looking to shape and grow a practice within an ambitious consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic communications programmes for clients across pharma, biotech, medtech and healthcare
- Advise senior stakeholders on reputation, positioning, issues management and crisis preparedness
- Build and maintain long-term, senior client relationships
- Drive new business growth, including networking, pitches, proposals and fee negotiations
- Collaborate with public affairs specialists on policy and regulatory engagement
- Lead, mentor and develop high-performing teams
- Deliver integrated, insight-led campaigns in complex and regulated environments
- Maintain and leverage a strong network of media and sector contacts
Candidate Profile
- 8+ years’ experience in health & life sciences communications, within an agency
- Strong understanding of the scientific, regulatory and reputational landscape
- Proven experience advising senior clients in high-stakes environments
- Demonstrated success in business development and account growth
- Established network across media and/or policy within the sector
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
