Senior Account Executive

AKA Communications

Luxury Travel, Hospitality & Lifestyle PR & Communications

Location: London | Hybrid (3 days in the office)

About the Role

AKA is seeking a Senior Account Executive to work across a portfolio of luxury lifestyle and hospitality clients at our independent, fast-growing London agency.

This is a role for someone who already knows their way around a newsroom and a client boardroom in equal measure - a safe pair of hands who can be relied upon to deliver, day in and day out, across a demanding and fast-paced client roster.

Key Requirements

  • Proven PR experience with hospitality and travel clients
  • Genuine, established media contacts across national consumer and trade press, particularly food, drink, travel, and lifestyle
  • A track record of managing multiple accounts in a busy agency environment
  • Strong client relationship skills, with the confidence to act as a trusted point of contact
  • Confident presenting skills, comfortable in front of clients and colleagues alike
  • Excellent organization and an unerring eye for detail
  • Strong writing ability, with a proven track record of turning a pitch into coverage
  • Experience managing and developing junior team members
  • An enthusiastic, can-do attitude, and a proper work ethic

Responsibilities

Public Relations

  • Securing consistent, high-quality editorial coverage across print, digital, and broadcast media
  • Building and maintaining close relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers across travel, lifestyle, and hospitality media
  • Drafting press releases, media pitches, and campaign materials to a high standard
  • Handling reactive press enquiries promptly and professionally
  • Identifying emerging trends and media opportunities relevant to client brands

Client Management & Relations

  • Acting as a key day-to-day contact across a portfolio of client accounts
  • Supporting Account Managers and Directors in the delivery of client strategy
  • Preparing and presenting client reports, updates, and campaign results
  • Attending client meetings with confidence, producing clear follow-up and action points
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of press trips, media events, and brand launches

Team & Agency Standards

  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the account team
  • Upholding AKA's standards, values, and best practice across all client work
  • Contributing ideas and insight to new business and agency growth
