We're looking for an ambitious and relationship-focused PR Manager to join Eversheds Sutherland's award-winning PR & Communications team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior partners, business leaders and journalists to build the firm's profile, strengthen its reputation and position our experts at the forefront of the issues shaping business today.
Success in this role will be built on your ability to develop trusted relationships across the firm and the media landscape. You'll act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, helping them navigate opportunities and challenges, while building strong connections with journalists to secure impactful coverage and raise the profile of the firm and its key stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
As a PR Manager your role will be to help build the firm’s brand and protect its reputation via targeted media profiling, and advise a range of audiences and stakeholders on PR-related matters.
You will be the PR lead for the firm’s Employment, Labour & Pensions and Real Estate practice groups and lead on selected sector PR and media relations activity, alongside line management duties.
Reporting directly to the Senior PR Manager, you will be integral to the firmwide press office function. Responsibilities include:
Build and maintain trusted relationships with our legal and business experts, becoming a valued advisor on media and reputation matters. Lead PR activity for our Employment, Labour & Pensions and Real Estate practice groups, alongside selected sector campaigns. Develop and deliver strategic PR plans aligned to business objectives. Cultivate and strengthen relationships with national, international and trade journalists to identify opportunities and secure high-quality coverage. Act as the key PR contact for your stakeholder groups, providing strategic counsel and communications support. Identify opportunities to position our lawyers and business experts as leading voices in the market. Produce creative content from complex legal, regulatory and commercial developments. Prepare and coach senior stakeholders for media interviews and PR opportunities. Support media handling and reputation management activity when required. Measure relevant media campaign performance and demonstrate impact against agreed objectives. Support and develop junior members of the team.

Skills & experience
You'll be an experienced PR professional who knows what makes a news angle land, and who builds strong, trusted relationships with journalists and stakeholders.

A proven track record of building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and advising confidently at partner and leadership level. Strong media relations experience, with an established network of journalist contacts and a track record of securing quality coverage. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and support senior colleagues effectively. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. A passion for current affairs and an ability to identify media opportunities. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A proactive, collaborative and creative approach.
