We’re looking for an ambitious PR Executive to join the team at Platinum Live.

Based in Cumbria, we’re an award-winning PR and marketing agency delivering campaigns that make an impact. Our clients range from ambitious SMEs to global organisations, spanning sectors including technology, clean energy, healthcare, entertainment, arts and culture.

No two days are the same. One day you could be securing national television coverage for a major regeneration project, the next helping launch a new technology, supporting a client at an event, or writing an award-winning submission.

We’re a small team that genuinely punches above its weight, and we’re looking for someone who shares that ambition.

The role

As PR Executive, you’ll play a key role across a varied client portfolio, supporting the delivery of communications/PR campaigns and becoming a trusted day-to-day contact for clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Writing engaging press releases, features, blogs, thought leadership articles, award submissions, scripts and creative briefs.
  • Researching, developing and supporting PR and communications strategies.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with journalists, editors, producers, influencers, podcast hosts, talent agents and other key media contacts.
  • Creating targeted media lists and identifying the right opportunities for every story.
  • Pitching stories confidently to regional, national and trade media.
  • Monitoring the news agenda, identifying reactive opportunities and staying on top of trends across both traditional and digital media.
  • Supporting clients with reputation management, media opportunities and wider communications activity.
  • Working closely with our creative, social media and content teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Attending client meetings, launches, networking events and media opportunities where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
