Volunteer Press Relations Officer
The S-RC Cup is looking for a volunteer Press Relations Officer to help tell the story of one of the UK's fastest-growing STEM motorsport competitions.
We're ideally looking for a university student studying Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Media, English or a similar subject who wants to build real-world experience working with a national organisation.
Role Description
As a volunteer Press Relations Officer, you'll help increase awareness of the S-RC Cup by:
- Writing engaging press releases
- Identifying newsworthy stories
- Building relationships with local and national media
Around our events, you'll help:
- Coordinate press coverage
- Pitch stories to journalists
- Work to maximise media exposure
This is a flexible volunteer role with no fixed hours, making it easy to fit around university. We're simply looking for someone who's enthusiastic, reliable, enjoys writing, and wants to build an impressive portfolio while making a genuine impact.

The S-RC Cup is a unique motorsports-inspired competition that encourages young people to tackle real-world engineering challenges. Participants design, build, and race their own remote-controlled vehicles, gaining practical experience and demonstrating their creativity. The program serves as a platform for emerging innovators to develop technical and teamwork skills while connecting with peers who share similar interests.
