Senior Social Media Account Manager

Location: McCann Leeds (Hybrid)

We're at the beginning of an incredible journey and we're excited to be onboarding a Senior Social Media Account Manager to help drive fame for our clients and play an integral role in MCS Leeds growth.

The Part You'll Play

Responsibilities

As Senior Social Media Account Manager you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our social media presence for a range of major brands. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Development & Implementation: Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies that elevate brand visibility, reach, and engagement. This includes strategic planning and execution for both paid and organic social campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall marketing initiatives and defined scopes of work.
  • Content Leadership & Curation: Lead the creation, curation, and publishing of engaging, high-spec content across diverse platforms including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Snap.
  • Community & Platform Management: Oversee all day-to-day activities across social media channels, including content scheduling, proactive community management, and timely, effective responses to inquiries, fostering strong brand communities.
  • Trend Spotting & Cultural Insight: Continuously monitor the dynamic social landscape, keeping a finger on the pulse of the latest digital culture, trends, memes, and emerging platforms.
  • Performance Analysis & Optimization: Conduct in-depth analysis of social media performance metrics, utilising a range of analytics tools (e.g., Social channel business managers, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, audience profiling tools). Produce comprehensive, actionable reports on both paid and organic performance to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and continually optimise strategies.
  • Influencer & Partnership Management: Identify, source, and manage strategic influencer partnerships to amplify brand messaging and extend reach.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including creative and account teams, to ensure social media efforts are seamlessly integrated and aligned with broader marketing campaigns and business objectives.
  • Quality Assurance & Adaptability: Maintain a highly detail-oriented approach, taking immense pride in the delivery of high-spec work, while remaining driven, ambitious, and adaptable in a fast-moving social landscape.

What you'll Bring

Essential Skills

  • A passion for all things social and influencer. You'll have a deep practical understanding of social media and how it compliments other channels.
  • Multi-sector experience working across several accounts / brands simultaneously.
  • Ability to lead conversations around social platforms, latest developments and trends, social creative best practice, influencer marketing, paid social and social insights & analytics.
  • Experience writing conceptual and strategic briefs, inspiring creative teams in their work and achieve outstanding results.
  • Demonstrated content creation experience
