We are seeking a permanent full-time member of staff to join the College’s Construction Department; and we are looking to employ an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with experience in the Construction field, specifically in the area of Bricklaying.
The department offers a wide range of provision including full-time and part-time courses, apprenticeships, and the 14–16 curriculum. We currently have a strong team of Construction lecturers in the fields of plastering, bricklaying, carpentry, and plumbing, alongside practical skills supervisory staff in areas including plumbing, plastering, and carpentry, and staff members who work specifically with the apprenticeship provision. We are looking for a member of staff who will complement this and contribute to the ongoing development of the department.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
