TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a forward-thinking and technology-driven accountancy practice in the Croydon area that is looking to recruit a Management Accountant with a strong interest in digital transformation and AI adoption.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a modern and innovative firm that is helping clients transform their finance functions through cloud accounting, automation and emerging technologies. The role offers a unique blend of management accounting, systems implementation and advisory work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both finance and technology.
The Role
As a Management Accountant, you will support a varied portfolio of clients with both traditional management accounting services and digital transformation projects.
You will work closely with clients to improve financial processes, support cloud accounting migrations and assist with the implementation of new technologies and systems.
Key responsibilities will include: Delivering high-quality management accounting services, including reporting, forecasting and financial analysis Leading and supporting cloud accounting migrations, particularly to Xero Assisting with software implementation and integrations across cloud accounting platforms Supporting clients with digitalisation and finance transformation projects Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvements Supporting the firm’s approach to AI adoption and automation within finance functions Providing training and ongoing support to clients using new systems Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery Acting as a trusted advisor to clients on systems, reporting and finance processes

Requirements The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will likely have: AAT qualification or equivalent practical experience Strong experience within a management accounting role Hands-on experience with Xero migrations and implementation projects Good technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain systems and processes clearly to clients A proactive and forward-thinking mindset with an interest in technology and innovation Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail The ability to work in a fast-moving and evolving environment Desirable experience includes: Exposure to cloud accounting tools such as Dext, ApprovalMax or similar platforms Experience or interest in AI tools and automation within finance Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment Exposure to project or change management work
