Location: Andover Vets for Pets

Working Hours:

3 to 4 days per week (24-32 hours), shifts may vary.


We are seeking a proactive and organised Administrator to support our busy, well-established team. Our practice is spacious, modern, and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, supporting a diverse and high-volume medical and surgical caseload. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding inpatient care and are looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellence.

This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys regular client interaction. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, contributing to both operational and financial processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support Practice Manager and Practice Owner with daily administrative tasks such as producing weekly reports, etc.
  • Managing and reconciling petty cash and other expenses
  • Overseeing debt management, including liaising with debt collectors and insurance companies
  • Updating and creating practice protocols
  • Carrying out general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and processing payments and insurance claims
  • Assisting with client enquiries and providing occasional reception cover
  • Social Media management

About you:

You will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident working with data, with a natural ability to manage competing priorities. You will also be a strong communicator who enjoys working collaboratively within a team.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Strong Excel skills, including data entry, formulas, and reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to manage large volumes of data efficiently
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A professional, friendly approach with a team-focused mindset
  • Good organisational skills, reliability, and self-motivation
  • A commitment to delivering excellent client service

Previous experience within a finance function would be advantageous, and experience within the veterinary industry is highly desirable.
