Role Overview

The role requires proactive collaboration with front-office support teams to identify opportunities for improvement, deliver training and development initiatives, and provide high-quality practice management insights. The position operates with a high degree of autonomy and involves extensive interaction with internal stakeholders, including Wealth Managers, senior leaders, subject-matter experts, and product providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Practice Intelligence programmes.
    • Create, monitor, and refine programmes and resources that enhance branch productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Coaching & education design.
    • Develop and evolve coaching, training, and educational content using internal expertise and external providers.
  • Wealth Manager engagement.
    • Build strong relationships with Wealth Managers; represent the team at firm events and forums.
  • Consulting support.
    • Partner with Wealth Managers to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, revenue generation, and long-term business resilience.
  • Product provider collaboration.
    • Maintain relationships with UK product providers to source relevant and high-quality content.
  • US Practice Intelligence alignment.
    • Stay current with the Raymond James Practice Intelligence model and adapt resources for the UK market.
  • Event & content management.
    • Oversee the Practice Intelligence event calendar; support the delivery of bulletins, webinars, and other communications.
  • Industry trend monitoring.
    • Track market, regulatory, and industry developments to ensure resources remain relevant and forward-looking.
  • Project & reporting management.
    • Develop project plans, reporting frameworks, surveys, summaries, and written recommendations.
  • Cross-functional collaboration.
    • Build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Documentation & analysis.
    • Produce high-quality correspondence, reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Presentation delivery.
    • Prepare and deliver clear, engaging, and professional presentations to internal audiences.
  • Operational delivery.
    • Ensure all initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.

Skills & Competencies

  • Wealth management operations.
    • Strong understanding of Wealth Manager workflows, technology, and operational processes.
  • Business process analysis.
    • Ability to analyse, interpret, and improve business processes.
  • Financial markets knowledge.
    • Solid understanding of financial markets, investment products, and advice models.
  • Technical proficiency.
    • Strong command of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
  • Professional resilience.
    • Ability to remain calm, professional, and service-oriented under pressure.
  • Teamwork & independence.
    • Comfortable working autonomously while also contributing effectively within a team.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree-level education (preferred).
  • Business coaching qualification such as EMCC, ICF, or AC (preferred).
  • Experience within the UK wealth management or financial advice sector.

  • Training on Practice Intelligence US tools and related resources.
