About the Role

Reporting into the Area Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Manager role is a hybrid of patient care and commercial focus, requiring a strong leader with a passion for Healthcare, patients, and driving a profitable business. This role is accountable for delivering all Pharmacy-related targets and deadlines, as well as managing the store Pharmacist and Pharmacy Colleagues, supporting the mission to make Asda Pharmacy the best in class.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the pharmacy team to deliver an excellent patient experience while achieving exceptional levels of patient safety.
  • Take direct responsibility for the support and development of all direct reports and locums to ensure high standards of professional customer service and compliance within GPhC operating standards and clinical governance metrics.
  • Work closely with in-store, regional, and home office teams for support on clinical and service-related queries. Expert advice and assistance are always available.

Key Requirements

We seek a dedicated Pharmacy Practice Manager to join our dynamic team, committed to excellence in healthcare. Specific requirements include:

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC
  • Accredited to deliver NHS and private healthcare services, including national and local provision

Experience & Skills

  • Ability to balance line management and multiple patient-facing duties to maintain safety and service standards
  • Experience inspiring and motivating teams, driving performance within Key Result Areas (KRAs) and targets
  • Experience in challenging, confronting, and resolving difficult situations while maintaining strong team connections

  • Valid GPhC registration
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Relevant safeguarding qualifications
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check
  • Willingness to enroll in the live update service for DBS checks
