Pharmacy Practice Manager

About the Role
Reporting into the Area Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Manager is a hybrid role combining patient care with a commercial focus. This position demands a strong leader passionate about healthcare, patient outcomes, and driving profitability for Asda Pharmacy, aiming to establish it as industry-leading.
The Pharmacy Practice Manager will:
- Lead, coach, and develop the pharmacy team to ensure excellent patient experience while maintaining peak patient safety levels.
- Achieve exceptional performance across Pharmacy-related KPIs and targets.
- Oversee the team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council) standards and clinical governance.
- Provide mentorship for direct reports and locum staff while fostering high professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Balance leadership with direct patient-facing duties as a qualified pharmacist.
- Ensure safety, service quality, and commercial performance in a fast-paced retail healthcare setting.
- Mentor staff and resolve challenges both in-store and with wider support teams.
- Deliver Key Result Areas (KRAs) through team motivation and clear guidance.

What You’ll Need
Essential Criteria:
- A fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC.
- Experience in NHS and private healthcare service delivery.
- Ability to effectively manage teams while maintaining Pharmacist responsibilities.
- Strong leadership in managing difficult situations, presenting solutions with clear communication.
- Valid GPhC registration, right to work in the UK, and safeguarding certification.
- Successful completion of a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and live updates.
Desired Skills:
- A natural ability to inspire and motivate staff toward performance goals.
- Experience challenging Boothfields through calm negotiation to resolve conflicts positively.
