Practice Manager - Maternity Cover

As a Practice Manager

You will work under the guidance and leadership of the Branch Partners ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our veterinary clinics. Managing the team, you are responsible for ensuring we deliver exceptional care, always there for our clients, patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of compliance with regulatory, operational and practice standards, alongside maximising the commercial performance of our clinic(s).

About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to join the teams at Medivet Watford and Medivet Borehamwood on a fixed-term maternity cover contract starting in October.

This is a key leadership role, providing operational support and effective management across both practices to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care, outstanding client service and a positive working environment for our teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of both practices, working closely with veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and colleagues in our support centre. You will play a vital role in leading people, managing operational processes and ensuring both practices continue to thrive throughout the maternity cover period.

We are looking for a proactive, organised and confident leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for developing teams and improving practice performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
