A bit about the role:
As a Practice Team Leader, you’ll play a central role in bringing this new area of work to life. Working alongside the Children’s Service Manager you’ll guide and support practitioners to deliver high-quality, child-centred practice, while building strong partnerships across local services to strengthen our collective response to exploitation.
You’ll also contribute directly to work with young people and families when needed, lead on gathering evidence and insights, and help shape practice development and wider policy change. This is a role where your leadership, compassion, and commitment can make a lasting difference.
About the service
Action for Children’s Intensive Intervention Service is a voluntary, relationship-based service supporting children and young people aged 11–18 who may be at risk of, or coerced into, serious offending or criminal exploitation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
