Practitioner Psychologist: Neurology, Metabolics & Hearing Implant
B7 Practitioner Psychologist (Part-Time)
Paediatric Psychology Service – Evelina London Children’s Hospital
We’re excited to recruit a full-time, permanent B7 Practitioner Psychologist to join our Paediatric Psychology Service at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital. This diverse and rewarding role offers opportunities across neurology, inherited metabolic disease, and hearing implant services, working closely with children, young people, their families, and multidisciplinary teams (MDTs).
About the Role
We seek a motivated psychologist with expertise in supporting children, young people, and families experiencing psychological distress due to complex health conditions. The postholder will contribute to high-quality, holistic care through collaborative working with professionals across medical, educational, and social services.
Responsibilities
This role is split 50/50 between two key areas:
Neurology & Inherited Metabolic Diseases (0.5 FTE)
- Work within inpatient and outpatient care for children/youth with neurological or metabolic conditions
- Engage in MDT collaboration, liaison, and consultation
- Address psychological needs arising from complex medical challenges

Hearing Implant Service (0.5 FTE, St Thomas’)
- Provide care to children/youth pre- and post-hearing implant assessment
- Conduct cognitive assessments, MDT consultations, and inpatient/outpatient work
- Advise on psycho-social adaptation to hearing loss and implant use
Relevant Opportunities Within the Service
