Global Visual Merchandising Coordinator (Luxury Fit-Outs & Displays)

Job Purpose

As the Global Visual Merchandising Coordinator, you will oversee the fit-out of shop windows and in-store displays, ensuring they align with the brand’s high-quality standards, product image, and sales maximisation strategies, while upholding ongoing quality standards for both window displays and interior merchandising.


Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Execute fit-outs within agreed deadlines, adhering to Visual Merchandising (VM) guidelines, and maintaining daily standards.
  • Make time-sensitive adjustments based on store merchandising needs, sales performance, market trends, and customer profiles, while sharing updates with the Visual Merchandising function.
  • Collaborate across stores, supporting fit-outs in additional locations within the same city upon VM Manager/Store Manager approval.
  • Document all updates by photographing and uploading images to the Display App for scheduled reports.

Strategic & Collaborative Roles

  • Work closely with Retail Merchandising to design eye-catching displays that attract customer traffic, leveraging stock alignment with seasonal trends and regional customer demands.
  • Provide expert guidance to Store Directors and Floor Managers on product presentation techniques.
  • Ensure timely sharing of fit-out photographs with the Visual Merchandising function for feedback and refinement, with a focus on feedback-driven improvements.
  • Report on store integrity, conditional of shop windows, display props, and brand consistency to the VM team.

Event & Client Relations

  • Assist in in-store event and promotional preparations, ensuring effective collaboration with Communications/PR teams for press engagements.
  • Partner with Stock Managers for the organisational and protective care of store props.
  • Assist Client Services Development/VIC teams by maintaining appropriate displays during private client appointments.

Key Knowledge & Skills

Expertise & Creativity

  • Proven track record in high-end visual merchandising, with an eagle eye for detail, styling, and luxury brand standards.

  • Strong grasp of retail dynamics, including:

    • Strategic product placement
    • Analysis of customer behaviour
    • Identification of sales drivers
  • Ability to consistently interpret and execute VM guidelines, while adapting creatively to market needs, store performance metrics, and customer segmentation.

  • Fluent in data-informed display adaptation to align with brand positioning.

  • Time management mastery with a proactive approach to deadline-driven projects and task prioritisation.
  • Digital proficiency in systematically using apps/tools for:
    • Visual update hosting (photographing, uploading)
    • Report generation

    • Visual Merchandising
    • Retail Merchandising
    • PR, Events, Client Services
  • Ability to mentor store teams, ensuring clear communication of display standards.

    • Brand storytelling maintenance
