We’re looking for an Administrator to join our Pre-Assessment ward at The Princess Grace Hospital. The administration team plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of operations across the hospital, supporting clinicians, managers and wider teams to deliver exceptional patient care. This role is central to maintaining efficient processes, high-quality data management and professional front-of-house services in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
As an Administrator, you’ll be responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the department through effective administration, patient coordination and front-of-house support. From managing referrals and appointment bookings to liaising with insurance providers and maintaining accurate patient records, no two days will be the same. You’ll work closely with the nursing team and wider operational teams to ensure patients receive an efficient and welcoming service at every stage of their journey.
Above all else, we’re committed to the care and improvement of human life. It’s this guiding vision that influences everything we do at HCA UK. From the CEO to the colleagues on the floor we all have a part to play in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Other’s may think this is just a role in Administration, but to us, you’ll be part of a wider team with a unique sense of purpose, one that helps improve lives on a daily basis.
What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive administrative and reception support for the Department, including appointment booking, managing referrals and responding to patient and stakeholder queries.
- Monitor clinician diaries and waiting lists to maximise appointment utilisation and ensure efficient scheduling within the department.
- Maintain accurate patient records and departmental documentation, including scanning records, filing correspondence and managing sensitive information in line with GDPR.
- Liaise with consultants, insurers and third-party providers regarding referrals, guarantees of payment, invoices, quotations and patient account queries.
- Support the wider team with any other admin duties as required

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
